i had planned to stay home the whole weekend, but no way. a train trip of 2 hours awaits me. and of course the same way back again just after an hour or so.

we just launched our latest project; ucuzara.com. it’s a lookup service for voip clients and providers. wish me luck =)
i went to the dentist for the third time during the past 6 weeks. i hope it was the last time for another 6 months. it doesn’t hurt that much, but it’s pretty ugly to sit with an open mouth for three hours.
internationalising big time
the swedish and dutch translations for istiyor.us/ichwür.de came in. two european languages i like the most. i’m excited for the results. we have two local partners, which are going to manage the site. it’s going to be cool to have your own project in a language, which you don’t understand. =)
i moved, i was sick, i was occupied with family, i was on vacation. now i’m back.
i would go into the theory of community management, if i had the time. may be i write a book about it, after i retire.

about buying a media group in turkey
yesterday, the acquisition of a major media group in turkey was ended after the payment was made successfully. what interests me more is, 68% of the total amount (1.1 billion USD) is taken from state banks. no other national or international bank didn’t go for it, because they asked for at least 50% commitment from the buyers. but the state banks said it was okay. can this be connected to...

One of the few exports from Turkey to the Valley Emre Sokullu’s grou.ps got covered in Techcrunch, Venturebeat, ReadWriteWeb and also Webrazzi -most read turkish blog about web-startups- during the last couple of days, almost right after the finalization of its investment round. VC’s don’t just give you money. Could this fact be shown more obviously than this?

Isn’t this note optional on the iPhone? You send mails to business contacts and you have to tell them at the end of your mails that you use iPhone or any specific product? I saw it on some of e-mails sent to me from friends & professionals. I love my Macbook Pro but Apple uses more than often funny ways to “spread the word”.

sun is shining?
I’ve just landed in D-Dorf. It’s not raining, i waited less than a minute for the pass control and the train didn’t delay. Something’s got to go wrong. This is the first time in almost 6 years i arrive in germany and something did not go wrong. I fear to call my neighbour to ask if everything’s okay with my flat.
a short summary of my trip to Istanbul
-nice weather, i love wearing t-shirts in april. (which is not unbelievable but not quiet easy to do in germany) -the city has an incredible energy. me meeting seven different groups of people in a day feels good. i had 14 meetings in two days -you can cross continents in less than 200 seconds during rush hour. what does one think about that? -doing business in/with istanbul will be great. -i...

i’m 24 years old now. the change of numbers happened in the train. well, it’s not surprising considering that i was on the way the whole year.

Alerji
Bir şeye alerjim var, ama ne olduğunu bilmiyorum. Dün gece acilde güzel bir iğne yedim, sabaha kadar herşey süperdi. Az önce yemek yeyip, kahve içince yine bir sürü kırmızı leke belirdi vücudumda. Gidip test yaptırmak farz oldu. Pöf.
3 derece oldu yine hava. Kazma kürekle birlikte kendimi de atayım diyorum sobaya.
