i suppose i will sleep a bit, and watch the game at home. i’ll be in freiburg around 19:00. (hate am & pm, never understood them)
anyone heard of a sportsbar in offenburg? i want to watch it on saturday but i couldn’t find anything in the web. where are all the “local guide 2.0”s when you really need them?
yesterday, the acquisition of a major media group in turkey was ended after the payment was made successfully. what interests me more is, 68% of the total amount (1.1 billion USD) is taken from state banks. no other national or international bank didn’t go for it, because they asked for at least 50% commitment from the buyers. but the state banks said it was okay.
can this be connected to the fact that the manager of the firm is the son in law of our beloved RTE, the prime minister?
another $125 million was taken from a media group in qatar. which means the buying company actually payed $225 millions.
beware! doing business in turkey can be dangerously intrigious, if your relatives are not in the parlement. but it would also be silly, if the trade in billion-size was done in a fair way.
Can also be downloaded.
Facebook’s translation app gone wild. =)
One of the few exports from Turkey to the Valley Emre Sokullu’s grou.ps got covered in Techcrunch, Venturebeat, ReadWriteWeb and also Webrazzi -most read turkish blog about web-startups- during the last couple of days, almost right after the finalization of its investment round.
VC’s don’t just give you money. Could this fact be shown more obviously than this?

Isn’t this note optional on the iPhone? You send mails to business contacts and you have to tell them at the end of your mails that you use iPhone or any specific product? I saw it on some of e-mails sent to me from friends & professionals. I love my Macbook Pro but Apple uses more than often funny ways to “spread the word”.
I’ve just landed in D-Dorf. It’s not raining, i waited less than a minute for the pass control and the train didn’t delay. Something’s got to go wrong. This is the first time in almost 6 years i arrive in germany and something did not go wrong. I fear to call my neighbour to ask if everything’s okay with my flat.
-nice weather, i love wearing t-shirts in april. (which is not unbelievable but not quiet easy to do in germany)
-the city has an incredible energy. me meeting seven different groups of people in a day feels good. i had 14 meetings in two days
-you can cross continents in less than 200 seconds during rush hour. what does one think about that?
-doing business in/with istanbul will be great.
-i was offline a lot, because i was able to connect to even more people on the street/ in meeting rooms/at cafes.
-met a lot of new people, saw some old friends, ate well, didn’t sleep, went to a doctor for my allergy. i am tired but i feel rejeuvanated at the same time.
that’s me holding the magazine. in the train. on the way to the airport. again.
